Well it has been awhile. Just like when I try to keep a regular journal.

I just got in from Gettysburg for a weekend of walking. In 4 days I got 31 miles in. My feet are killing me but I had fun. I am getting ready to head out to Las Vegas for some more walk this weekend.

Anyone who was on my list for the Burn It Winter 2004 exchange should have their discs by now since I sent them out before I left. Frankly I was reaching on some of the songs to get them to be sad. I never realized how up beat my CD collection is, or at least not depressing. Some of the songs are obvious, but for some here is why I picked them:

Love Stinks - Without a doubt when someone gets dumped everyone will feel this way. A little upbeat, but the lyrics are enough to depress you. BTW this was the first music video I ever saw on a fledgling MTV.

Love Has Nine Lives - I came across the group Music For The Goddess on mp3.com and I love Wendy Sheridan's voice. I just could not get away without having some light at the end of the tunnel. The song is a little mellow/bluesie (is that even a word?) so it kind of fits in.

Ek Ong Kar - A chant in Gurumukhi, a derivitave of Sanskrit, translates to "One Creator created this creation, Truth is HIs Name, great beyond description is His infinite wisdom." The rest of the CD is much more upbeat and for practicing yoga to.

Netherworld Waltz - This was, without a doubt, one of the bigger reaches but I love the way this song sounds. Netherworld was a horror B film put out by Full Moon Productions (they also did the Trancer's series). Although I am not much of a horror film fan I ended up watching many of these with my mom & brother. The soundtrack is hard to find but I searched for it just for this song. It is tough to find so good luck if you are interested - I had trouble after having my first copy stolen.
