Well, I am sitting here in a hotel in Indiana. I drove longer than I had intended on my vacation, however I could not get a hotel in Indianapolis.
This is something of a first for me. I am traveling with my new laptop. Mostly I broght it for times like this when I am sitting here at a hotel with nothing on and I want to watch a movie. I am taking advantage of Netflix and as I finish up films I am going to mail them back. I even found that I could play a DVD (in this case Cheers) where I don't really need to watch the screen but I can still enjoy the show. I have another disc of Cheers that I will probably watch tomorrow.
Right now I am on my way to Topeka, KS. Tomorrow will probably be about 10 hours on the road, depending upon traffic and how long I choose to stop for lunch. I expect at least 1 gas stop.
The reason for my trip, aside from just getting away from work, is to do some walks in the heartland. In part I am doing some walks along Route 66, and in part along the route of Lewis &
Clarke.
I love the laptop. I am listening to the end of the movie "Creator" as I type this up. I've seen the movie on VHS enough that I do not need to watch this at all.
