Ok, now I know I should not complain about getting a new machine at work. BUT I hate switching over to a new machine. Getting all your data in the right place, setting up all your shortcuts, toolbars, etc. etc. Internet Explorer's hiding of infrequently used links and the Start Bar hiding infrequently used programs is all shot to hell and back, so right now I am looking a HUGE lists of links & programs, trying to figure out which ones I can kill. PLUS because of the import feature many of my shortcuts are not in the right place in IE. Plus since I am a programmer I have to go through about a million install programs to get all the controls & miscellaneous stuff that I use daily. It took most of 3 days to get everything up and running, and I am still installing stuff as the need comes up.

Maybe my frustration is in the fact that I just went through the same thing at home as well, only without the network connectivity to copy over files. I know that there are programs to help with this kind of move, but there really should be an easier way for programmers to be able to make their own CDs of all the stuff they need and just have everything correctly registered. Hell it would be nice if there was a way for everyone to do that.
