I am just getting back from vacation. A week in Virginia Beach with a wonderful group of people. Spent most of the time drumming and learning about astrological cycles. There should be some photos in the next few weeks at Follow The Moon. As always I have a blast, although in the middle of it all I feel exhausted. I hate leaving there every year, but I know that we will all be back next year and pick up right where we left off.
One of the big things for me this year was what I have dubbed a "crystal rescue". A group of us were in a shop that sells crystals on the side and there was this one kind of beat up crystal that I felt was unhappy. He was not overly expensive so I bought him and got him out of there and into a place where he would be more appreciated. Someone in the group who is more in tune with crystals than I am agreed with me that a) this was an unhappy crystal and b) it was a male energy (hence my use of the term he). For me this was a HUGE step since normally I do not pick up on these things, let alone act on that kind of energy.
And after getting back I worked on a local Habitat for Humanity project that work is helping out at by letting us have a day off to work. I did siding all day, which was pretty cool, although my back is sore from standing up all day. Hopefully things will settle back into something that resembles normal next week.
